Description
The goldfish (Carassius auratus) is a coldwater fish from Asia. Contrary to popular belief, it can live 15 to 30 years in good conditions.
Habitat
Minimum 100 L tank for one fish, +50 L per additional fish. Strong filtration, partial weekly water change.
Diet
Quality goldfish pellets or flakes, blanched vegetables (courgette, spinach), small live or frozen worms as supplements.
Behaviour
Goldfish are sociable and recognise their carer. They live in groups and constantly explore their environment.

- Never a round bowl: asphyxia and deformities guaranteed.
- No bread or human leftovers.
- Regular water tests (nitrites, nitrates, pH).
- Live plants or smooth décor to avoid injuries.
